So why do I love black and white photography so much.
The history for me goes back to my college years. I studied photography at Reigate College in Surrey.
I learned how to take photos using a film SLR camera. The film was always black and white. I would then develop the prints using an enlarger and three developing trays in a dark room.
I love B&W for some photos as colour can sometimes distract your mind from the emotions contained in the photo. Not always though as colour in some photos can add to the emotion, for example light from an evening sunset.
B&W also creates a timeless feel to photos and moves away from anything gimicky.
I like to produce a gallery for my clients which contains a mix of both colour and black & white photos.
